It’s December 31st….time to predict what the next year holds. Till December 31st of 2010 when we look back and balk at the predictions that were wrong, and marvel at the genius of those that were right.
On that note, YHL collates for you a list of predictions being made…with a promise to check back this time next year to see how they turned out:
Six ideas that will shape the world (CSM)
The Futurist Magazine’s Top 10 forecasts for 2010 and beyond
The Economist forecasts for 2010
As for us? We’ll see this year out and ring in the new one with this Abraham Lincoln quote:

New research is showing how the building of large dams is impacting climate change.
As the world’s third largest dam builder….is India listening?
Tags: dam building, India, The Lake Effect No Comment Read MoreWith 4,300 large dams already constructed and many more in the pipeline, India is one of the world’s most prolific dam-builders. Large dams in India are estimated to have submerged about 37,500 square kilometres – an area almost the size of Switzerland – and displaced tens of millions of people. Because of these impacts, and the inequitable distribution of risks and riches that large dams bring, people in India have been fighting dams for decades. (International Rivers)
